What is Jojoba Oil & How does it benefit you?

Jojoba Oil

  • Jojoba oil helps promote healing of the skin.
  • Has antimicrobial properties - it discourages growth of bacteria and fungal microbes that attack the skin.
  • Chemical composition of Jojoba closely resembles that of human skins natural sebum, so it is easily absorbed and rarely causes allergic reactions even in the most sensitive of individuals.
  • Jojoba is actually composed of liquid wax esters, our bodies skin also contains natural wax esters.
    • Wax ester production steadily decreases as we age, causing our skin to appear dull and emphasizing wrinkles.
    • A reduced ester content of the skin can also cause the development of conditions such as:
      • Psoriasis
      • Dandruff
      • Rosacea
  • Jojoba oil can also keep the skin from becoming too oily.
    • (Because Jojoba oil is so close in resemblance to our natural sebum, it can trick our skin into producing less natural sebum, which, unlike Jojoba, can clog pores. )
    • This can also help treat acne and other skin conditions caused by oily skin.
  • Contains many important nutrients -
    • Vitamin E
    • B Complex Vitamins
    • Silicon
    • Chromium
    • Copper
    • Zinc
    • It also contains high levels of Iodine, which can be where it receives its ability to fight bacteria and fungal infection.
  • Jojoba oil is very stable, and unlike many other oils found in creams, does not go rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage.
    • So it can be carried around in your purse rather then kept in a fridge or cool cabinet.

Jojoba oil is a wonderful moisturizer with numerous benefits that we have formulated into our Serenity Green Cream. The benefits of Progesterone made even better.
